About PDF Text Search
PDF Text Search is a small, free tool that does one job well: it finds a word or phrase inside your PDF files — whether that is a single document or a whole folder — and shows you every match with its page number.
It exists because of a gap people run into all the time. The Ctrl+F box in a PDF reader only searches the file you currently have open, and the obvious online alternatives ask you to upload private documents to a server. This tool searches as many files as you want at once, and it does it entirely inside your browser using Mozilla's open-source pdf.js engine, so your documents never leave your device.
The site is built and maintained by Marcio. It is deliberately simple, has no accounts or tracking of your file contents, and is free to use. If it saves you some time, that is the whole point.
